I have a pair of 99-04 pony emblems in my garage. Just took a look at them. They don't have the same locater pin locations on the back. The little pin is directly above the big one. I suppose you could clip them off and then you'd have to wing it for the placement and angle.

Also, my 2 cents about removing emblems. Try a couple of plastic squeegees that you get with Bondo. They're pretty stiff, and thin enough to slide under the adhesive. And, they're wedge-shaped.

Goo-Gone is definitely the stuff to get for cleaning up adhesive.

Looks great. Much better than the GT emblem.

Yes. The 06+ emblems are HUGE, (and really wide) but, IMO, the 99-04 emblems are too small. I think the 94-98 or the 65/66 emblems look the best on the 05+ Mustangs.

94-98 side emblems

Personally I like this size better. I had the Pony Pkg emblems on at one time but they looked crooked and were just too big IMO~

Do the GT, Pony and Cobra emblem's all use the same hole positions?

I'm thinking about the Cobra emblems:

...but I do not want to drill holes.

Yes. They all use the same holes. However those are simply alignment holes. They don't HAVE to be used. It's the 3M double sided tape that hold them on. It has nothing at all to do with the holes or the pins on the back of the emblems.

You don't have to drill holes no matter what emblems you put on there.

Wrap the floss or fishing line around a popsickle stick or something similar on both ends and voila...no wear and tear on the fingers!

The fishing line doesn't work well, IMO. It leaves some of the tape behind. I'm not talking about the residue. It leaves behind the tape itself.

Just heating up the emblem and pulling it off leaves no tape and only a little residue.
