Well 4 hours later and a 2 man job, but boy do they look good!
I had to drop the front bumper to pull the headlight buckets and drill the holes were I wanted them. But it did turn out well.
Here are some pictures. They aren't very good since they are night shots.
I will try to add more tommorrow with a description of the install.
The Ford Racing pins were not long enough for the rise in the hood so I mixed and matched the best parts of 2 pin sets.

Looks great. If I go with that hood I can now use your pictures to show the shop where I want mine

Curiosity would the cables for the pins not reach in that position or did you just decide not to use them?

The cables will reach, but I decided to go without them for now.
They can be added easily at a later date if I change my mind.
Show the shop the existing holes in the radiator bracket next to the hood bumper stops. Those are perfect.
Make sure the pins you buy are long enough!!!!!!!!!!
Ford Racing pins didn't work for this location. Too short, however I did use the Stainless steel plate and screws from that set and the pins and clips from a set I purchased at Pep Boys.

Steve, congrats on job well done. thank you for posting the pics, I was wondering if you had added the pins but did not want to be pushy and ask. They really look better that I an anticipated.

How long are the pins that you used?

Chris, the pins are about 4" tall with the hole closer to the top than the Ford Racing pins. They are similar to the Ford part in diameter.
They came from Pep Boys but I didn't keep the package, so I don't know the make. Next time I go to Pep Boys, maybe this weekend, I will look if you need the brand name.
Let me know if I can be of anymore help.

Hey Steve, have to given them a high speed test? Did they settle the hood down a little? ..... or did it turn out to be cosmetic, and not very functional?

I only had it up to 110, but the thing doesn't move at all now.
Before one side was a bit higher than the other and would start to shake at about 60-65 MPH and always over bumps.
No I have no fear of the hood taking off by itself.
