Pictures Of 18x9.5" Wheels And 285/40/18s
#1
I finally got around to taking some pictures of my new wheels and tires. I was a little sceptical about fitting 285/40/18s on the front but they fit perfectly. The car handles alot better now and has alot more grip off the line.
I have alot more pictures on my My Webpage if anyone is interested.

PLEASE Don't cut the stockers!!! Get Eibach's or Steeda's. They are the only one's I know of that are available at this time. You always want to have the stock equipment just in case you need it. And cut springs are a no-no in my book, but it is your car so do as you plez. I really like that color, too bad my wife's van is the same. Heck, I like all the colors. How are the long tube's doing? Did you get them coated?

The headers are doing great. The car accelerates alot beter than stock, especially at low RPMs. Driving on the highway at about 2000 RPMs the car feels like it has alot more power. I didnt get the headers coated because they are made from 304 stainless. I still cant get over how nice stainless works products are; all of the welds look like a work of art and they clear everything with room to spare. This is the first set of headers i have had that dont rub the steering shaft or the body when i accelerate.

They look awesome. I have also been looking at those rims. What is the offset on those rims?

I have been looking at that wheel as well - they do have a +45mm offset. Are those the silver with machined lip or chrome? I will probably install the 18" x 9.5" with 285/40ZR18s in the rear and 18" x 8.5" with 255/45ZR18s in the front - both have a 27.0" diameter. Tires will most likely be BF Goodrich g-Force T/As.
As a point of reference the original tires are 27.1" in diameter/768 revs. per mile. The BF Goodrich front tires are 769 revs. per mile and the rears are 771 revs. per mile. Pretty darn close!

Anyone notice that 18's look more like 17's or 16's on the 05. Im not a big fan of wheels larger than 18 inch but if theres a car that could carry it its the 05.
