Photochop Help and Opinions!

I am waiting for Late Model Restoration to get the KSR center mount grille in, but in the mean time I have been thinking about the emblem I am going to put in the grille and this is what I need help with. I am a novice at photochopping anything so I was hoping somebody could do this for me to give me an idea of what it would look like: On the Drivers side of the grille and offset a bit, but not a lot, in either upper or lower portion of the grille have:

This emblem

Here is a pic of my car

OK. I realize this isn't your car, but it was a whole lot easier to find a KSR grille and put the Steeda emblem on it than try to make your grille into a center fog light grille.

Personally I like the look LBJay gave it. Looks MUCH better, IMO. When was the last time you saw an OE style grille w/o the pony in the center??? Hmm. Maybe never?

I appreciate both of you guys taking the time to do this for me, although I can't open your second pic Jay. Yeah I agree I think I might want to go the route of a ponyless GT grille, I don't know though. What do you guys think? I am also open to any other suggestions?

THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!!

I think something other than the blue would look better.
Maybe black in place of the blue and leave the "S" and the outline silver.

Yes. The silver outline would really stand out. Basically it's all you would see.

I am going to have some difficult desicions, especially if I do decide I am going to change the color. I am going to need to also find out how to bracket it to the grille?

Obviously my Photoshop skills are nothing compared to Jay's (especially since I'm using Microsoft Paint ) but this should give you an idea until Jay steps in.
I also did one in a grey color.

Shouldn't be too hard. Get a thin piece of metal, cut it to the shape of the emblem and have someone weld some bolts to back. Then have a bracket that to put on the back side of the grille and attaches to those bolts. It's the same process the guys are doing that are putting on the tri-bar pony emblem. Those don't come ready to attach to a grille. They're made for the fender.

Also, since the emblems are so light a lot of guys are just using double sided 3M emblem tape. Works great.

As for getting the emblem done, does Steeda offer it in different colors? If not I'm sure you could get one of the online decal guys to make a sticker to put over it... especially since it's just a Ford emblem with different writing so they know the exact shape.

I agree both of those look great!!!! As for the bracket I have seen what other guys have done, for me since I just moved to a new area I don't know who around here that can do it for me, unfortunately. As for the sticker do you know of anybody specifically? THANKS SO MUCH, AGAIN.

I'd have to do a search. I can't even remember what any of the thread topics were where I saw them.
The sad thing is, I had one of them Bookmarked and I just deleted it last night. Sorry.

Thanks for the compliment, Jay, but I tried the center fog grille with his original pic and it turned out especially compared to yours.
I was just bored when he asked about the color so I went ahead and did a quickie.

Pike, I don't see anything wrong with using the 3M tape with as light weight as that emblem is. Check out some of the center fog light grille threads (KSR & SSE) maybe one of those guys would make you one.

Thanks, for all your help!! I was originally, when I first thought of the idea, going to use some 3M tape but since people have been able to fab a bracket I would prefer to do the same. My thinking on this is if you are going to create something unique, (at least somewhat unique, I guess) or for better words; uncommon, I want apperance to reflect quality. IMO. Not saying the tape isn't but I would feel more comfortable at a show or on the road telling people about the grille as if the emblem were made for that specific purpose.
Does that sound ****? Maybe, but if it does that was not my intention.

Anyways, thanks for all your help!! (both you and Jay) If anybody has other opinions about the matter I would be glad to hear' em!

I still think Jay's first photoshop would be the best look. (fogs in stock location & no pony)

Back and forth between the two different grilles?
If that's it, I'll make it easy for you.. no one makes the grille with the fog lights in the stock location.
