Thumbs up

I am looking at buying 17"x9" American Racing wheels and will need to buy performance tires for them. Can anyone tell me if performance tires make your car ride a lot more rough?

My BFG G Force KDWS are quite good. Rides normal. Wider tires tend to track more, but that is to be expected.

I recently installed 18" Dunlop Sport 9000s on my GT, and much to my suprise, they ride better than the factory 17" Pirellis. More compliant over small bumps.

I have the American Racing Torq thrust 2's with bfg kdw's 8's on front and 10's on back. Definitely a rougher ride than the stock tires but not enough to make a buying difference. The looks are worth the extra bumps.

I headed straight from the dealers to my America's Tire Co and had Nitto 255/50 put on and I think the ride is pretty rough. I also live in a city that has crappy streets and have no idea how the ride differs from the stock tires. It was harsh enough to make me decide NOT to lower my car!

I have TT II's with BFG Gforce T/A KDW-NT tires and they are a little rougher but that is expected since they are a lower profile.
