Painted White Stripes on Satin Silver

I picked up my car way back on November 4th of '04, and I've always wanted to stripe her. I was finally able to "git-r-done". Thanks to all those who posted stripes - you helped me decide what to get!

These are painted 10" stripes with 1" spacing under clearcoat. It's only my second mod - my first was an "eject" lighter. hehe. Hopefully I won't have to wait 2 more years for my next mod: glass-replacement quarter panel louvers.

White on silver - always a great-looking combo! From the pictures it seems like your body shop did an excellent job. Congratulations!

Looks great!

Couple of questions...

What all did they have to remove (bumpers, spoilers, hood, windshield, etc.)?

Did the inside of the car wreak of paint smell after you picked it up?

That is a beautiful looking car packman. Doesn't having the stripes done totally change the look of the car? I'm sure your getting a whole lot more looks now, after getting them painted (I know I draw a crowd when I take my car to a show). Again, awesome looking car.

TacoBill, They removed both bumpers, spoiler, and trunk. I went ahead and had them fix all the little chips/dings in the front bumper so it looks brand new again. Then I ordered a bra for the long trips. The inside of the car didn't smell like paint at all.

Jeff, it's true! People are rubber-necking and waving to me again! Thanks for the compliments - i love it obviously, but it feels good that others do too.

Yeah - i almost had them done as a dealer option when I bought the car, but it was SOOO permanent, I really wanted to see it done first (white on silver). Thx to those who posted their white on silver pics - after i saw the first one, i knew i'd do it too.

But i no longer had the option of financing them into the price of the car . So it took me a while to save up.

im doing gun metal (matches my wheels) stripes on satin silver

13 inch stripes with a 2 inch center space (puts the outside of the stripes in the center of the fogs) and leaves 1 inch on either side of the stripes to the tail lights in the rear
