Painted side rear view mirrors?

Has anyone painted the mirrors to match the car color? If so post pictures please. I have seen the midwest autogear inserts but it loooks like a half done job to me. I was thinking about having the mirrors painted when I get my stripes painted and wondered how it would look.

I just took this picture this weekend. It shows the painted mirrors, CDC spoiler, lower Grill and Ford GT/CS side scoops.

Looks good! Did you buy painted replacement parts or have the originals painted?

I had the originals repainted. I looked at the platic covers but I did not like the way they looked. Even the fll mirror covers did not cover the mirror completely and you could still see the original mirrors.

The mirros are vey easy to remove. The plastic covers inside the car just pop off easily with a little pressure and then 3 nuts (10 MM) hold them in place. Be carful not to drop the nuts in the door.

I took the mirros to a body shop to have them painted. I was having other body parts painted so they did not charge me much for the mirrors.

I dont like the covers either, but I do think just plain painted mirrors look great. You also might want to check out street scenes replacement cal-vu mirrors for the 05+ mustangs. Contact them about it.

I think the MWA Mirror inserts are a better choice. The mirror completly painted is to much IMO. Having just the insert gives more contrast especially if you don't have a black car like myself. Check them out on my sig.

I did the MWA's also, like the contrast. Have the Vista Blue, has enough black parts so the two tone matches real nice, also, they stick on in just about a minuet and are pre painted. no muss, no fuss.
