Midwest is taking preorders now for a February release on their painted side mirrors. I have mine ordered already and they will be $64.95. I could wait for a group buy but I didn't.
Here's the response:
(That was fast!! Great customer service so far)
I emailed him back to ask about painted prices.

February, huh? That's why I started this thread... for those who wanted them now. But thanks for the comparison.
Oh well. Nevermind. This guy wants WAY too much for them painted. I still might order an unpainted set.
$95.00 + $15.00 freight within the continental US. Paint to match will take about 7-10 working days to complete. Paint to match side window louvers are also now available if interested.
Thank you,
Craig

Hi Richard,
We are currently working on the tool design for the mirrors. We
are estimating that the covers will become available the beginning of February. The cost of the covers will be 64.95, which will include the shipping . If you are interested, I will put your name on our pre-production order list.

Turns out the '06 mirror wasn't different; they made the mold based on the passenger side mirror and just mirrored it for the driver's side, but the driver's side it actually a slightly different shape than the passenger side.
This has been cleared up and I have mine installed--on both sides.

$65 shipped for the painted mirrors is very reasonable.
I do alot of painting on various projects and I can tell you that to do it right and mirror the color and quality of a factory finish isnt cheap.
Primer - basecoat - clearcoat + labor + shipping + the part = $65.
Unpainted is $50 shipped, Even if you own the tools and have the expertise, you cant paint them for $15.
If I buy them I will get the unpainted, but i have leftover basecoat and clearcoat from another project.
I just dont know if I like the look on a Redfire or not.

I emailed Midwest and pre-ordered. In it I mentioned I was a TMS member and received a reply that a group buy was probably going to happen so I wouldn't rule out some discount - even so, the $65 is still good IMO.
