I used a textured flat black spray paint that is "made for plastic" and "outdoor use". I did not use a clear coat.

Here's the finished product

Thanks for all the props guys!

I have to admit though, I cant take all of the credit. I read about it in another thread, jumped in my car, and ran to buy my paint and masking tape

I just wiped it down and made sure everything was clean. The paint says "no primer needed."

dittoes I'm going w/ the Chrome inserts on my tail lights. BTW: This red GT would also look awsome w/ the blackout
trunk panel. that'd look killer w/ those tail lights. CDC has some new black trunk panels -- classicdesignconcepts.com -- that are honeycombed which would look awsome w/ these tail lights.

Thanks.
Before I painted them I just made sure they were clean. It took me about 2 hours to mask everything off neatly.

Thanks again .

If the paint starts flaking off, I'll just do it again with a little more prep work. It was a good time waster and easy to do, not to mention I still have a ton of that paint left
