Painted My Pony V6 Bullitts

I painted my silver Pony rims black...After three and a half hours of back breaking work, I got this result. Well worth it I think...

Thats exactly what I want to do to my rims. Not sure if I'm brave enough to do it myself. Nice job!

Hmmmm...now ya have me thinking about doing this......What did you paint them with ? Base/clear or Polyurethane?
I think the black would look good on my Redfire stang ....

I used Duplicolor High Temperature Engine Paint Gloss Black.
I first sanded the areas i was going to paint, then spray Adhesion Promoter waited about ten minutes then sprayed the black in coats...then sprayed automotive body clearcoat...it dried quickly. I was all done and ready to go to have them put on the car in 3.5 hours...the masking offf of tires was the time consumer....Good Luck! It's fun!
