[attachmentid=40102][attachmentid=40101][attachmentid=40100][attachmentid=40103][FONT=Arial]Hireman (Bill) painted my billet brushed aluminum fuel filler door to match my windveil blue 2005 V6. I think it makes it much less ricer than before. I am also attaching a photo of my Hireman Pony Emblem on the front grill.

Great work Hireman![/

There are some manufacturers that have it engraved already. As always Bill does great work, I will most likely have one painted by him for my car when I get it. I'll take the locking one though just as an added precaution.

MilStang is correct. The guy who sells the doors is Bruno out of Canada and sells them on ebay. He has plain, pony engraved, cobra engraved, etc options in chrome and brushed aluminum. They can be ordered with no finish which would make it a lot easier on Hireman. He had to redo this several times due to waves that showed through the original billet brushed aluminum. He stuck with it and made it right -- a real pro and gentleman. I think I saw some locking models available now -- bought mine several months ago.

Yep, Awesome. Haven't liked the Billet look for the fuel door...Just doesn't fit. You've revolutionized this!!! On my list it goes...

Yes it is on my list. I just want the car now so I know what the exact color is going to be. Then of course, Hireman will have even MORE work to do.

Do you have Bruno's seller id or an item number? I am having trouble finding it on eBay.
Thanks!

I agree with you all, the paint looks great.Sublte makes people look for it, bright bling slams you in the face. I dont see the point in putting a shiny gas cap on your car, attractiong attention to the side of your car. I think it looks out of place just like bright, shiney, door handles on a 350Z. If I want to attract attention, I want people to look at my front or rear end on my car.

Anyone interested in doing this mod should order one from Bruno and tell him your going to have it painted. He will ship it out disassembled and also sanded with 400 grit. That way when I get it I can just hit it w/ 600 prior to shooting on the etching primer. Thats what makes the paint stick to it like glue. After I ( or whomever) paints it , then it can all be put together prior to shipping...that way , when you get it all you have to do is bolt it on ( and thats a matter of I believe 3 bolts). This door is a quality part , I'm not affialiated with him in any way......I'm just a VERY happy customer!

Thanks for the great pics tucsondivots and hireman for your advise in ordering from Bruno. He's making mine this week and sending it to hireman for painting. I can't wait! My car is windveil blue also so it should look awesome like yours does!
