Paint question for GT500 look

If I'm wanting to paint the lower part of the rear bumper to look like the GT500 (lower is all black) what paint should be used. Is it a flat black, a satin black, textured, or what? I want it to match the V6/GT500 rockers that I have, but they are textured black plastic, and the bumper is smooth...

Help me out here

The actual GT500 bumper cover is textured as you know. The simplest thing to do is simply paint it with a matte black - something like SEM bumper paint. I think this just came up in another thread recently. I'll see if I can find it...

Any idea how well it (flat black) matches up?

Actually I don't have either bumper. I have the diffuser lip from 3D Carbon, but I want to paint it similar in appearance to the GT500...

Ah. Just wondering since I painted the bottom lip of my stock bumper to match my black rocker mouldings. Someone backed into my car and I had to replace the bumper anyway. I wish the GT500 bumper would've been available back then.

Any pics? I thought about this for a while too, but wasn't sure it it would be a "thick" enough look. I'd love to see what it looks like though.

Nick, have you consider bed liner material? It will have the textured look and you could do it your self or maybe even get a local dealer line Line X or Rhino to do it. Just a thought, let me know I can make some calls up North here for you.

Someone else mentioned that's what they did too. I'm just trying to find something that will match my rockers and CDC classic chin(textured black). Problem is I need to order the chin. I've heard the chin matches the rockers pretty well, now I just need to complete the look on the rear...

Not the best pics, but it's all I have right now.
It lines up perfectly with the black rockers.
