Question Paint Question for GT/CS Rear Fascia

Just bought my 08 TR GT Coupe from the dealer. I elected to add the GT/CS Rear Fascia because I LOVE the look of the GT/CS from behind. No problems... Just added it on to my order and had it put on when my vehicle arrived. However, because they were not told or did not know, the Paint Shop the Dealership uses painted it GT500 Style, not GT/CS. This left the bottom edges Exposed Gray Plastic, Obvious difference in color than the rear Diffuser. Spoke to Ford, then spoke to the body shop, they will be able fix, just need a day to do, no cost.
The only issue I have is, after looking at it, and noticing it was not a SMOOTH surface, the paint guy (manager at that) said he could not Warranty the paint. That brings up some Flags for me.
Also makes me wonder, how can the GT/CS come smoother? Have those who added the GT/CS Rear Fascia been able to get the lower rough edge painted up to be smooth, like the rest of the bumber or factory paint? I was wondering if a couple of extra coats of paint and clearcoat will fill some of that roughness out. Just want to make sure I have my Info Guns loaded when I go in.
Any thoughts?
Below is how they painted it from the get-go. YET to be fixed.

I am going through a similar situation. If you take a close look at CS rear fascia's (I did at my local dealer) you will see that even from the factory you can see the textured surface on either side on a brand new car. SOOO from the factory it comes with 'textured' paint, they should be able to cover it or make your dealer cover it.

I decided to smoothe that out on mine and my body shop is charging me an extra 250 to do it on top of the original cost to paint the bumper. They have to prime and sand prime and sand until it is smoothe.

Hope this helps

Thanks... I might have to do something like that. More interested in the Matching color than the texture. And when it is that low, and with GT500 Splash Guards, I dont think it would matter, as Long as the paint matches the car.

Cool Another possible option?

I don't know? It looks pretty nice! You may just want to install a pair of unpainted V-6 side panel takoffs and then it would look the same as a GT-500. Bright red with the dark gray bottom? Not a real bad option for very sharp and a different look? Good luck on this fix!!

Nope, they are both textured... Or at least they are now. Not sure about last years.
GT/CS Painted to match the car, GT500 comes painted black.
However, I have seen, some Factory GT/CS's and Shelby GT's that are Really smooth, that is why it is confusing.

Just for reference, here's a close-up shot of my GT/CS rear diffuser, as it shipped from the factory.

I did notice that the texture is still there on a factory cs. When i install mine (x-mas present) i am thinking i will smooth it out. But also i think i might delete the side marker. we'll see, pics to follow.

The GT/CS rear fascia and GT500 Spoiler was $517 to paint and install, out the door.
They are going to repair the NON painted area for no charge since they realized it was painted wrong. Headed to the Paint booth Monday to get it fixed.

Got the GT500 Spoiler from the dealer. My saleman got it to me at His cost, No additional fees. $258 isnt that bad, and I wanted to do it all at one time, dealer complete before I took delivery.

Yeah, I paid $517 out the door for Both to be painted and installed.

Just saw an 08 Shelby Gt, it had a smooth surface on the rear fascia. Is this a hit or miss on what you order? Smooth or texture?
