Paint Question
Just got back from a local paint shop. I'm looking to get a paint scheme similar to the stripes on the BFG Foose Car

but they gave me a quote of $1,500-$2,000. I don't know too much about paint cost, but this seems high too me. I think most people on here who have gotten rally stripes painted on said something like $1,200. Is there more work involved with the foose design than the rally stripes, or could this guy be marking the price up just becuase its a foose design.

Sounds like the price range I was gettin' for ralley/lemans stripes. You get what you pay for..........

Shouldn't the cost of "ralley/lemans" stripes cost more though? Since you have to stripe the front/rear bumper, hood, roof, trunk lid, and spoiler if you have one. Then clear all those panels. Whereas this paint job is limited to the hood, front fender and doors.
That is an accurate estimate.
when it comes to body and paint work you normally get what you pay for.
If you find someone willing to do it under $1000.00,BEWARE.
Remember they are not just painting the stripes on, They are repainting half the car.

Its a new hood. It does look similar to those though. Will be sold by Unique Performance and there being manufactured by Quality MetalCraft.

I realize you always get what you pay for. I just want to make sure i'm not over paying. I'm not sure I understand how half the car is being repainted.

The foose paint job is much more detailed and involved than painting stripes.
Stripes are essentially a uniform width the length of the car. The foose paint scheme needs to be laid out properly and done well to be symmetrical, there is also additional pinstriping which will drive up the cost.
You get what you pay for here... keep that in mind
