I ordered some paint for my Legend Lime from express paint (see link below).

http://expresspaint.com/

All the colors for the 2005 mustang are available, based on color codes. The color codes are available on the inside driver door panel. They also have an image of the color, and the color description (windveil blue etc.) which can be used to identify the color. You can order the paint in a touch up pen, aerosol can, or in pint jars.

I ordered the aerosol can for the brackets of the hood lifts I ordered. You could use the paint for just about anything, spoilers, scoops, louvers, goodies, etc. I am gonna use the leftover paint for one of those plastic models of the car.

Don't forget to order a clear coat, because the colored paint is just a base coat, and a clear coat is needed for the beautiful gloss. If someone has posted this info already i apologize (i did search). I should get the paint on monday, so Ill let everyone know how it goes.

If you order, try to mention me (hazedav and themustangsource) as a referral or in the comments box. Im going to try to get some free paint out of these guys. Prices are reasonable.

Wow....it is cheaper to buy the sprayer and paint then pay someone (especially since I am painting the hood and spoiler). This is also a good way to "do it yourself" blackouts

I got my Street Scene louvers, and was going to paint them myself.. but called the local shop, and they are only charging me $100. I figure it was worth it for them to do it RIGHT, LOL

However, I will be getting a touch up pen, and a pint jar of paint from them, for other things, like hood lifts, etc.

FYI Legend lime is really Lime Gold Metallic, and its color code is P1 (see inside of drivers door). I got the paint today, and it is bad a**. The color matched perfectly, gloss is very nice. Im going to paint one of those plastic glue together models of the 05 mustang when they come out. I painted the brackets for the hood lift, paint stuck fine, no need to sand or anything. I also might use it for those silver door plates on the inside of the door panel. Ill tape off everything but the letters and spray it. Anybody need anything else, let me know.

Emailed Express Paint. I got them to give us a coupon code for ordering paint. 10 percent off, pretty nice of them to do. This is the email i got.

"Sure, we could work out a 10% discount for website members. "themustangsource" is a discount code that you can post online and anyone that sees it on the any Mustang site will be given the discount. You will see the "Discount or Gift Certificate Code " field during the check out process, so just simply enter the code and will be given the discount.

Thank you"

Just an FYI, happy driving. - David
