O.K., anyway...Thinking about getting these Konig wheels. How do you all think they look with Torch Red? Looking at 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear with Nitto 555 255/45 and 285/40 respectively. Thx...

Those wheels are great! The only thing that I don't care for are the center caps; do they make other options for the caps??

I think they look great. Are you getting them online or from a local dealer? I have been wanting to get a set of rims myself and have been looking at alot online but Id really prefer to see them in person. Anyone suggest a franchise or dealer with a store? Ive been to NAPA and a few other auro parts places and they dont have squat. Im in Maine so it is hard enough to buy anything other than lobster and farm animals
P.S. Nice touch with the Mustang logo on the fender. Goes well with the car

Hmmm, good point. I didn't think about that before. Just looked at Konig's website and they offer center caps, but not for these wheels yet since they are new. Not that big of a deal for me though.

If I get them it will be through DiscountTireDirect.com. They also have the Nittos and will mount and balance them before shipping. But a bunch of on-line retailers carry Konig wheels.

I am very seriously considering these in the 20" option for myself. I think they look great, yet kinda subtle. They almost look like roided-out fanblades.

AND I like the staggered set-up idea....

I think they look good, and I have considered them also. I just wish they were black instead of gray ( or whatever color they call that ).

I came really close to ordering those wheels. I had posted a pick awhile back of them and people seemed to like them. Luckily my first choice of the Ford Racing 18" Fanblades showed up on TireRack, so I got those instead. I say Go for it!

scramblr,

Those look sweet. Before you order from Discount Tire, see if you can get them over here. They are made in Germany. The Recaro Tuning Weekend starts tomorrow at Hockenheim and I saw on the flyer that several vendors are going to be there. You may get a good price straight from the factory.

Am I the only person who wishes wheels would get smaller and tires would have more sidewall? To me low profile tires look like rice.

One of my Fanblades got damaged on a curb. A lady was driving right down the middle of the street and I moved over as much as I could until I freaking hit the curb. Soooo, now I have my winter rims which is why I'm shopping for new wheels. Not bad, classy wheels year round.

Thanks for the heads up TombStone. But...My wife is due today with our second child, so we're waiting for the little one to decide to come out. Probably wouldn't earn many brownie points going to a car show this weekend.

I kind of see what you're saying. I personaly don't like 19s or higher running with 30 or 35s. 45 is about as narrow as I really want to go, but the 285s only come in 40. I always feel like I'll burn through those narrow tires in no time...

scramblr,

I just got back from Recaro Tuning. If you are feeling all Fast and Furious, you can always give these a try.

If not, you could always go Crocodile Dundy on us.
