Ok guys - need to pick out a hood - Help
Ok. My car got hit by a huge hailstorm last friday. Shop says they can't fix the current hood so they said if i want an aftermarket one to get it ordered asap.
Here's a pic of my car. I need to figure out what hood will look best with it. My preference is for a low profile hood, no big cowls or anything.
I also want quality. I would prefer to order from a company with a good reputation of quality. I also do not want hood pins so an aftermarket hood that does not require hood pins is very preferred.

I gotta go with Danny on this one. If you don't have a spoiler, you need to balance the car out with NO Bump in the hood. If you do go with one of the raised options, then at least put a duck tail or something on the car. I have always been partial to the concept hood, but that is on White or Gray. I like the Steeda 2" cowl hood or the Saleen heat extractor hoods on Black cars.

The Eleanor is not low profile. I agree w/ shaun. Also fiberglass hoods will lift @ highway speeds. You may need pins anyway.JMO

Yup. I was just going to suggest the Saleen hood. No hood pins on the Saleens and they have the low profile and heat extractors. Sound to me like it's right what you're looking for.

I've been running with out hood pins for about a year now, had it up to 100+, only time it shakes bad is passing an 18 wheeler at 75.
It is the cervinis KR style hood. For a while the were not avalabile with the heat extractors, but they are now offering a billet insert.

I like any hood that keeps the hood looking relatively flat. I never been much for buldging hoods high in the center.
I think the concept style hood is nice. Any hood that has reversed scoops like the 1967 models is nice as well.
I think my favorite hood right now is the 1969-70 Mach 1 hood...
