I am about to purchase Privat Profil's 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear. One place I called said 40mm offset front and rear and another place said 40mm front 25mm rear. What's the dealio?
Edit: spelling confuses is also a toughy.

That second set of numbers sounds backwards, if I'm thinking right.
Since 45mm is stock use that as your starting point. The lower you go the farther out they'll be. So a 25mm in the rear would stick out 20mm (almost an inch) from where your stock wheels are. Since you're looking at a wheel that is 1.5" wider than stock, you have to add another 3/4" to that. That would be too far for my taste.
Also, once you put on wider wheels, if your rear end isn't centered (as a lot of them are off from the factory) it'll stick out a lot on one side.
