offset back spacing for 285/35/18

Can anyone tell what the correct offset is for a 285/ 35/18 BFGoodrich KDA.

I want them to tuck under the the fender lip as much as possibe.
Also, I have the back lowered.
Thank you

I have 285-40-18 with 18x10's, I did not need to use a spacer on the rear at all (depends on if the rim hits the brake caliper).

I have 285/40R18 on the rear. Rims are 18x10 with a 45mm backspacing and my car is also lowered. Are you sure you don't mean 285/40 instead of 285/35???? I have the BFGoodrich GForce tires as well.

well since you are looking for the same setup I have ......

Just remember, that it is not just the offset you need to worry about, it is also the rim width. The 18x10's have a 7.25" backspacing and just fit perfectly. The front 18x8's have a 5.5" backspace.

However I am curious as to why you are looking for info when you already state in your signature the following....
B.F. GOODRICH KDW TA GREED WHEELS: Devotion Polished Rim 5 Spoke Blake FRONT 255 / 45 / ZR18 - 99Y * REAR 285 / 40 / ZR18 - 101Y

P.S. You might want to condense your signature. Shouldn't be more than 8 lines of text

Adrenaline: Good Eye...
Yes you are right, I recently added the 285/40's to the rear
the 255/45's that I had on before fit nicely in the back, then I had a blow out and upgraded to the 285's(thanks to getting tire insurance) and now with the Devotion rims the 285's stick out to much for my taste. SO, before I go and make another costly mistake I would like to get as much info as I can. SO, I now need to know Backspace AND offset?
I am even more confused than before..............

P.S. I have condensed my signature a few time. Then every couple of days it goes back to this size or another size in a smaller font.
Thank you for your input about the tire and I will work on condensing my signature.

sorry to confuse ya. Backspace and offset are basically the same thing. At one time I had a link to a really good site that showed a comparison of the backspace so you would be able to figure out what you needed, but since this site went down I lost that link Anyway, if you look at pics of my car....the one below for example, that is with an 18x10 rim with a 7.25" (45mm) backspace. That should give you an idea on how it looks with the car lowered.

You seem to be the most knowledgeable on this forum in the area of tires and wheels. I have search and cannot locate the minimum off set required to clear the front brake rotors on the 05 GT. I have the deep dish bullets from Mustang Tuning and the 35 offset will not clear and I want to machine the , 250 spacers down in order to have the maximum amount of threads in the lug nut. Can you help me? THANKS

Well the tough part is, not only does the offset need to be correct, in order for the rim to fit properly within the wheel well, but depending on the style of the rim it may not clear the brakes, as you have found. My 18's barely, and I mean barely clear the calipers and I know a few members purchased the 17" version of my rims and had to shave the calipers to get the rims to fit.
I really wish I could find that link to the best tire/rim calculator. You would then be able to see exactly what offset you need when swapping out rims for different sizes, unfortunately they don't take design or brake clearances into consideration.

Just to clarify, the problem you are having is with the caliper and not the rotor, correct?
