I hear some people talking about how so many mustangs are getting after market stripes.

I would estimate (extropolating from my previous stats from Oct -Jan) that there are at least 1100 TMS members that own 05 mustangs. I know of 82 TMS members with some sort of hood stripe. So I would estimate that maybe 10% of all TMS 05 mustang owners have hood stripes.

So P White owners are most apt to stripe their stangs and Redfire owners are least likely. No surprises there as white goes with any color and I've heard many Redfire owners comment on here that Redfire is a hard color to stripe.

For those of you considering retro boss or mach 1 striping, I came across a good website. http://photos.mustangsbymike.com/Mach-1-Hood

The dimensions listed are in some cases different from the info I posted on the 1st page of this thread. For example for the 1970 Mach1 with shaker

Width of main stripe. 14.5" vs 14 5/8" - 15 7/8"
Gap .5" vs 9/16"

Minor differences but just in case you want to be exact.

Thanks for the update. This is such a helpful tool for us who are thinking of striping our cars. AFBLUE, two things, woith one being a favor. First, My Vista Blue GT coupe is finally showing "Produced" , so it should be in a few weeks. As soon as it arrives, its getting sent to paint for stripes. I'll send you a PM with the dimensions so you can add it to the list. There will be pics up when its done. I really want mine on it, since there are only 2 Mustangs in Vista Blue on there.

Second, since your a moderator, can I ask for this topic to be stickied at the top? When I am with some customers, and they ask for ideas on stripes, I refer to this, but when the topic is dormant, it gets lost. Can you sticky this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks for the help.
