I'm currently dissapointed in the lack of body kits out there right now. I'm looking for something that is CLEARLY recognizable as aftermarket and a little extreme. Right now everything out there (especially the front bumpers) look really close to stock. Are there any more companies out there that are still designing new body kits?

Their front bumper looks too close to stock. Their rear lip looks decent though.

If you want extreme you could always get the APC body kit. I don't think too many people would copy you.

What are you smoking?
Saleen, Roush, SSE, 3D Carbon , Cervini, BBR....
They all look close to stock?

NONE of those look close to stock IMHO. Now, if you don't like them, that is one thing, but they certainly are instantly distinguishable in their own way.

And, considering how many choice there are for a 1 year old car, consider yourself lucky. Most cars take years to get this anywhere near this variety.

That being said Razi has a kit on the drawing board that might be more what you have in mind.

Fang also has a design in the works that replaces the hood front quarter panels and the fascia, adding 3" to the length of the car. Expect that one next summer.

Wow, thanks for the insightful reply, although with this congress I'd probably have better luck passing a bill to allow monkeys to fly commercial airplanes to help reduce costs rather than to pass something that would actually be beneficial to the American public.

I love your car John, don't get me wrong, but IMO what stands out the most is the Shaker and the stripes, which I don't consider part of the "body kit".

Without those extra 2 mods I think that somebody who didn't own a 05/06 would know the difference by looking at the car if they saw it alone and not in a side by side comparison.

Most people I talk to think my car is stock anyway until I tell them everything I have done which to me is great, because that means to most people it is not obvious that something was added onto the car.

According to an email I got from Fang, they are supposedly working on the front clip package that John mentioned. They said they want to produce a hood, front valance, and fender extensions to imitate the '69-'70 Shelby, '67 Shelby, '68 Shelby, and '71-73 Mach 1. I think the potential of the '05 is incredible, but not yet fully tapped. Give it a year more, and we'll all probably wish we had waited to mod our cars instead of going with the first thing that came out. I may have to get an '07 or '08 and start all over!

I am waiting for the MRT / CDC Rear diffuser to come out. I like the look that it ads to the rear of the 'Stang.

It looks like RKSport is doing an entire California Dream body kit to go with the hood.

Man John every time I see your car I want to get that kit... just looks awesome... better than the SS Orange one IMHO.

I'm currently torn between that one and the 3d Carbon... I just haven't actually seen the SS kit up close yet.

The 3d Carbon one is almost too much... as I really want my kit to look a bit more toward stock...

Meaning I want it to look more like the kit is part of the car... and not so much aftermarket... if that makes sense.

Ok sorry... thread hijacked....
