I am looking at putting these on my 07 gt. but I see they are made just for summer I don't want to have to switch out my tires for winter. How bad is traction in the winter with these tires. I live in south louisiana where it does not cold for long and when It does 30 degrees is some of the lowest temps I will see.

You may not see snow but summer tires are not recommended for temps below 40 degrees because they can crack in winter.

If you're lucky you may be able to cheat the reaper and not skid out if it ices up but I personally wouldn't try it.

Either way, those Nittos are way too nice to be destroyed in one winter.

On nitto web they say to store them in winter with temps below 40. I have them on my lightning . I live in west ky . Have had no problem with them in the winter . But if there is snow you won't go any where. I was on gravel road with snow no problem turned on to main road just sat there had to drive in reverse to get of road .

At my work we have an 07 GT with Nittos on it, brand new ones too. Our weather lately has been mid 30s to 40s and rainy and that car has NO grip in chilly rainy conditions. I certainly wouldn't want to DD those tires in place with more than one season.

My GT with Goodyear Eagle GT all seasons has more grip in the snow than that car at work does in the rain.

Nittos in winter will suck, dont do it, the compound changes under 45 deg F. Get some Kuhmo 4x if you want year round, or buy another set of rims and dedicate one set to winter and one to summer.

Dude you're here in Louisiana. It's cold for 2 months maybe and that's barely ever freezing. A set of 555's will work all year round. The little traction you lose on freezing days will make up for the MANY hot as hell days.
Ice. Snow. We have not these things here.
