I'd say stripe it, well, that's cause I'll put vinyl on anything.

Anyway, even though your car is a Roush I am moving this to the exterior mod section. You will get more feedback there since you are thinking about modding the exterior.

STRIPE!!!! I ordered white just so I could put stripes on. After a year of wanting Sonic Blue, or maybe Legend Lime, I saw peter1966's car and had a "light bulb" moment. "I want blue stripes"!!!!!!

I have a folder full of pix's (all of the above cars). My only remaining choice is paint vs. vinyl. I'm really leaning towards paint, but yikes on the cost $1500 to $2000. (vs. $400 for vinyl).

Good luck with you car, I hope you get stripes so I can add it to my pix folder...........

As much as I don't like the Roush look, having a white car is like having a blank canvas. You could get away with some really cool color effects on the white background.

As ricey as it might seem to some. I think putting color-changing stripes on a white car might look really slick. Something like red-blue on white.

adrenalin,
No problem on the move to the forum, more input is welcome for sure. Thanks for the vote

Thanks vegasjay, the poll will decide

Stangette,
I know what you mean, I fell in love with the ROUSH once I seen it.If I stripe...looks that way based on the poll, she'll be a whole new animal Redfire would look sweet as a ROUSH

Enfynet,
Thanks for being honest. I just dont see it though, some really hate the ROUSH body, cant seem to understand why. Its not ricey...and Im no teenie bopper ...LOL
I have thought of ghost flamed racing stripes, that would be different. not sure on colors though...throw in some skulls and iron crosses, and theres a sweet set of stripes

Vinyl could be changed easily if my color mood changes I have thought of paint, but thats permanant, and costly as you have seen. As for vinyl, go to Summit racing, they carry the ROUSH stripe kits for under 180 bucks. And last I looked, blue in stock, BLK on backorder.
Dont spend 400 for vinyl...IMO

Enfynet - I was in a paint shop the other day and I was looking at some samples and I saw some color changing paint - wow! I wouldn't want to be the first, but looked pretty kool. Maybe if you did a subtle color change, like two shades of blue or two shades of red.......

I don't know why people dislike the roush kit either. I was telling someone I bought a roush, and the person gave me one of those stink faces!

Ok stg1, now you have fully convinced me that stripes are a must! I am thinking 10" wide, but the color is undetermined because I am not set on wheels yet.

Its not that I think it's ricey, I just prefer the subtle body kits to the bold ones. I'd take Street Scenes or Xenon over Roush, Saleen, or Cervinis.

I kind of like that skull & crossbones idea. Reminds me of when Vegasjay had the Punisher logo on his hood

I voted for stripe her, also. And here are a couple pics of a white Roush w/ blus stripes I saw on a trip to Vegas. I have to say, I love this combo.

One thing though... what was up with the Roush with the hood scoop that wasn't striped? That just looks silly.

I work at one of the vegas stores, and the reason that you probably saw a stripeless roush is due to the fact that they are trying to slam these things out because it is the end of the year.

On our lot, we have a yellow with black stripes and the quality is horrible. It has a lot of bubbles/creases etc... We are actually thinking of removing them.

Gotta go with the Shelby blue stripes on the white car!!! White is one of the best colors to stripe. While my Sonic Blue was on order, I dam near bought a blue on white GT instead... but, the dealer wanted waaaaay too much extra for it.

I was talking about the pic of the roush w/ hood scoop posted on the first page of this thread. I just think if you are going to stripe the car, might as well do the scoop too.

Also... if you are gonna stripe a Roush, I'd do it like the car below also (minus the scoop). The stripes need to be from bumper to bumper.

I voted to stripe, but I did'nt read that it was a white 05 Roush until after I had voted. I would say on a white car like yours... leave it clean. I like the look of 03-04 white Cobras I see running around. I think a SE car like yours looks strong and clean in solid white. Leave It.

Bumpity bump

OK everyone, the stripes are in stock, and it looks like the stripes win. Car is parked for a few weeks while we wait for the air filter to return from Outerwear's, now's the perfect time to stipe the Roush.
I'll be ordering them on Monday, should have them by Wednesday next week. Until then....Zaino clay bar time

Now...I was dead set on BLK, but the more I look at the Blue, I like it also. Only thing Im worried about is the ROUSH letters are painted and cleared in BLK on the bumper...

Blue Stripes w/ BLK letters ?? I dont know..
comments on this slight dilema lol

1947,
Im going the 10", at least thats what I think the Roush size iz..right?
As for wheels, I have never had a set of chrome ones until now. I love these 18x10 Roush wheels, its what sold me on the STG1.
Where U buying your stripes?

Called Summit

Black Roush stripes were backordered...again, and Blue were in stock. So....I took that as a sign, and ordered the Blue. They will be here on Tuesday.

Blue wins
