Well... I guess if you like them, then congrats!

BTW... just because its been bugging me, I have a question for the TMS Mods: Are street wheels/tires considered "Performance Mods" or are they "Exterior Mods"... I see them in both places. FWIW, I think street tires/wheels are exterior mods, and racing wheels/tires are performance mods. OK.. just had to get that off my chest. Sorry.

ducktail and the front chin spoiler are getting painted. Will have them on this weekend.

I was going to get the 18" chrome bullitts, but when I found out you can get 18" bullitts on the 06's I didnt want something that everyone will have.

It can be in either place, I generally move them into the Exterior Mods section, just for ease. I am not an expert in what is racing tires, etc, so thats where I put them.

Moving...

Jessica... as a comparison, this thread is about race tires/wheels: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=31473

And I believe it should be left in the Performance forum.

Not my taste but look nice none the less, I just have a wierd adversion to rims with bolts, rivits or psuedo allen heads along the rim. Grats on the upgrade. What size tires are you running now?

With all due respect, does it matter? Besides generally speaking handling is a performance characteristic, which is usually enhanced with better than OE tires and rims.

Don't be a ninny. :nono: Mods have enough stuff to weed through without having to decern if a particular tire is purely for looks or for performance, then move it to appease the 1% who take offense of them being threaded in the wrong section.

Bill. thank YOU SO MUCH! LOL Sometimes we really get our hineys chewed for moving a thread... In the long run, it really does help the flow of the site SO MUCH more.

As for the thread in question, I absolutely have no trouble moving it. If we move something and its in the wrong spot, simply ask... (NICELY PLEASE) and we will get it in the right area. Bill is correct in that we have a lot of stuff to move, and I am the first to tell you I wouldnt know the first thing about tires, or wheels, if I am not looking at them in person.

Finally, if you want to get technical, whether or not the tire is is improving the performance of the vehicle, it is still a modification of the stock exterior of the vehicle, correct?

Bottom line guys, when it comes to moving a thread, we get to them as soon as we can, (sometimes its not for pages) sometimes we dont read every thread and dont realize its not on topic. We try to make a judegment call, then move it. If we make a mistake (and we do) then a quick, "could you please move that to the Performance Section, those are racing slicks, Thanks" type PM does wonders.

Jeff, those look great. I originally thought they looked too much like the upgrade wheels when I saw them unmounted. But after seeing them on your windveil blue GT they look great.

Mind if I ask where you got them? I would probably go 18's just to maintain the ride.

Did I say I was "offended"?... I merely asked a question, ninny. And yes, it does matter to me. Because I don't have time to weed through multiple forums looking for different posts on the same things. If I know where they are, then I can find them easier. And frankly, there is a difference between "Hey I got new tires, what do you guys think?" and "Hey, I need drag radials, what do you guys think?"

If the TMS is going to break up 2005 Mustang stuff into multiple sections, then it should be consistent and understandable. Otherwise, why not just put everything in one forum?

Case in point... why would a shaker scoop be considered an exterior mod, when it is really an engine mod (with at least a potential for performance enhancement)? Absolutely nothing was done to the exterior (except cutting a hole in the hood). I'm not complaining... just pointing out another example of inconsistency.

Ya, where is the ductail spoiler? Nice wheels by the way.

And my 2 cents on where tires threads should go....

If the manufacturer considers them drag radials then yes, the performance section is where they should go. If the tires are not drag radials then the exterior mods section is the best place. Most of these posts are regarding rims, not tires. If the rims are not specific for racing then they should be placed in the exterior mod section. My reason for this is majority rules. More people would go to the exterior mod section to look for rims and tires than they would the performance section.

Like Jessica said, there are a lot of posts for us to weed through so we move them where we think they should go. If you don't like where they have been moved, send a PM to one of the mods and we can discuss it.
