New Taillight Bezels Installed
A nice retro-mod, but I like the "stealth" look of the new 'stang in black. The stainless sorta disrupts that too much. I'm with the "it'd look better in black" crowd on this car at least.

I like them, makes the lights look like three seperate units to me. Sequentials would really stand out.

THANKS RICHARD!!
And you are right, I do like them. I would like to have them painted yellow to maych the car though. I think color coding to match the car and make the tail ight 3 piece sections, stand out more would be the way to go.
If someone can photochop that, it would be cool to see.

I spent several hours carefully installing the plastic trim on mine. When complete I stepped back for a look. I just was not me so I pitched it in the trash. I guess its one of those Different Strokes For Different Folks.

Me too. I put on a kit from ebay. I kept it on for a total of 12 hours. It just looked funny.....a single piece painted black would be a different story though.
Just my $0.02
- I like chrome/silver/stainless trim on these cars.
- I don't like when only a little bit is trimmed.
If I were going to put chrome/stainless on my car to bring the retro look out, I would...
- Fog light bezels
- "chrome" upper front bumper section (I'll play with photo editing later, but I'm talking about the section of the top of the front bumper that sort of extends out farther than the rest)
- "chrome" window trim
- "chrome" mirrors (not needed, but would complete look)
- "chrome" upper rear bumper (like the front bumper, the upper section near the seam down to the line right at the top of the licence plate)
- "chrome" wheel well/fender trim (like mirrors, not needed but would complete the look)
I'm not sure of the quality, but I did see some "Chrome" spray paint at K-Mart the other day. But for the bumpers, I would use a piece attached to the top of the bumper, as paint wouldn't give you a definitive line near the edges where the bumpers blend into the fenders. If done right, it won't look
and should blend in with the retro look of the car.
