Yeah, it's better have them take their time to do it right the first time than to rush it to get it back to you faster and have you no be satisfied. I'd tell them to take as long as neccessary.
Here's a few pics of the ones I just got done. I wasn't really planning on doing them right now, but I got a small ding in my door so I had them done when it was fixed. I was planning on having them put on when once I got the shaker.
thats the first time I have seen an aplication like that. looks good, I'm suprized I'm fairly young and not around when the late 60 and early 70 colors were going around, but I like the Legend Lime color, I had given that color some thought but ultamitly went white, seems to be a fairly rare color choice
Thanks. When I first saw the color chart on Ford's website LL and black were the two colors I didn't want. I didn't want black because of my dirt driveway, and I didn't think I'd like the LL. Until I saw it in person. Then I knew it was the color to get. Don't get me wrong there isn't a bad color, but for me LL was the way to go. As far as age goes I'm an 23 myself and wasn't around to see the colors available in the 60's and 70's, but do seem to like them. In fact if hugger orange was an option it would have made my decision even tougher.
Those look quite a bit like the late 60s early 70s Mach 1 stripes. I do think they would look better if they were about an inch or two lower, and the GT emblem was centered. $0.02... Other than that, they look great.
They could be a little lower, but I wanted them to start where the fender meets the bumper. I had also planned to move the emblems up, but they have locating tabs on the back and that would have needed to be welded up to change. So we decided to leave them where they were. Thanks again for your ideas however.

Ok, I'll have to be the first to ask about the stripes: paint or vynl? Oh, and nice car by the way. I like it!

They're painted on. The color is called Hot Rod Black. It's not really flat black, but more like a satin finish. According to my painter it was developed so people would have an alternative to just primer or flatteners. In person it really gives it a nice vibe. Now I'm saving up for a shaker. I will paint a stripe the width of the shaker up to it and a smaller stripe going up and around it like in the picture of the black CDC show car. Then some wheels and for the most part my exterior mods will be done. I'll then move on to performance mods.

Stripe is original.... and that is a darn good thing! Looks awesome man.
Dark tint would really compliment your car well.

Yep!! The Performance White is an awesome color!!!
Sorry I had to post a picture of mine!!
What color stripes did you get??
looks good, Kevin, BAD, but GOOD News???????
Called the graphics shop and asked when would be a good time to pick it up, he said
"we are having problems getting the stripes straight on the hood, the rest is done, but we had to order a special kind of Vinal to do the hood wont be done till WED."
I'm verry happy they are not rushing it and doing it right, but darn a whole week without my car is almost unbearable.
when it's done it will be Blue stripes on performance white 10 3/4" wide with a 1" gap, and 15% charcoal tint.

Performance white with blue stripes racing stripes. That was my first choice until I saw LL. IMO that is the best color choice for the racing stripes. Satin silver with red stipes would look nice too, but I digress.P.S. I got my windows tinted today. Maybe I'll have the time for pics tomorrow.
