New Starcraft Hood! For 05up Stang Shades of 68 Shelby

Edit,

Lost Pictures Years Ago in Forum Hack! Freeking Pictiger Anyway! I'm Going Through Shoebox of Car Pictures and Found These!

Back in the Early Days Companies Would Send Me Parts To test Fit & Post About Them on TMS! I Got Some Good Stuff! Still Have Some Grilles I Need To Ebay! Anyhoo I Still Have this Hood. It Came With Nose Pieces To Go on Outer Grille Mounting Area to Change Looks The Hood Hangs Over Quite a Bit in The Front. I Got them Somewhere. Hood Was For Non-Gt500'. Maybe I Will Try on my Gt-500 Someday! Also Came With Prototype Ram Air Ducting. I Liked It. Read The Reviews For Yourself. I Don't Know if it Ever Went into Production or If So How Many Sold. Another S-197 Upgrade That Faded Away! Enjoy The Reboot! I think I Have Some More Pics As Well! Searching The Box After Posting!

Well Let me Know what you Think of it!

The New Starcraft Twin Scoop Hood!

Here is what I Know so far. The Hood Will use Stock Latches and it is made of Fiberglass. It Does Not Require Hood Pins Although some 68 Shelby Pins Would Sure Look Sweet! I am told a FUNCTIONAL Ram Air System is Planned and in the Works! It is Supposed to Have Plenty of Clearance underneath for Superchargers and Strut Braces. I will Update with Further Info as Available! BTW The Have other Stang Styling Items in the Works!

Enjoy!

KC

I Think it would Look Pretty Sweet on a Certain Redfire GT/CS!

Stay Tuned!

Too over the top, I feel; "nostrils" are too big. Ruins the clean lines of the Mustang. What worked on the '67 body style doesn't automatically translate well to the S197, despite its retro inspiration.

Sorry to have to say it, but IMHO many of these aftermarket parts for the exterior turn the new Stang into a bit of a clown show.

With a fiberglass hood, will hood struts work? or do we need the prop rod put back in?

Lets See, I got a Blower which Eliminated the Factory Engine Cover and Now the Factory Hood Scoop is Going. I see a trend Here! BTW, Please Disregard the Junk in the Foreground. I need to make a Dump Run LOL! Oh and I could not wait for the 18's That I could Not Get on my 05. They will go for some CS69's in 18"s when they are Released.

This is One of the First Ones off the Line. I will Post when Pricing is Available. The Ram Air is Designed to work with a Stock Airbox and Looks Like it will work Fine with my Roushcharger. I also believe it will be easily Adapted to other air Intakes. As a side benefit the Height of the hood should allow Quite a bit of flexability with other Power adders and Strut bars. I am waiting for some more components due mid next week and will post more Info as available.
