Well here's a look at more money leaving the bank account. I installed a few subtle touches that just about completes the look I'm after. First were some black rocker panels from the V6, replacing the painted ones on our GT's. I ordered them a LONG TIME AGO, before the GT 500 shots came out in March but just got them a few weeks ago. Like with the GT 500, they tend to make the car look a bit longer and thinner in the belt line.

So I had to have the CDC chin spoiler to match and bring the lower front end into line with the black rockers. CDC provided the paint (a matte black, pebble finish which matches the rockers almost perfectly. Fit, finish and installation ease are first rate.

Hopefully CDC or someone else out there will come out with a similarly styled diffuser design for the rear end.

Finally, a Steeda drop and a panhard bar, those gaps above the tires were driving me nuts. All my worries about rough ride, camber issues, etc., etc. were for nothing. The new suspension is great!! Here's a few pics.

That is looking sweet bro. Now someone just needs to come out with something for the back. So you had no camber issues? I hear that is pretty much a hit or miss issue. Looking at my front tires right now, they look a little slanted in.

Oh and get yourself a shorty antenna.

WOW!!!!!!!!!
Mark that looks OUSTANDING!!!!!!!
I love everything about it!

How much were the rocker panels? I've been looking for a used set, but still not 100% sure I'm going to do it.
As for the back, I've given it a little thought myself. What about painting the lower edge the same way you did the chin spoiler? (see pic)

If you get a chance, post some "before" pics also.

Oh, one more thing. Have you thought about getting one of last year's antennas? They were silver and it would add to your retro look. I'm pretty sure they're putting them on the trucks this year too.

I wouldn't go with an aftermarket one if you want it shorter. Just cut it. Retains the stock look and you get to choose the exact length you want.

Hey thanks Jason. The V6 rockers were $120.00 cdn each, plus a few dollars for the extra push pins you need to keep them in place. I'm gonna look around for a rear diffuser add-on before I go the painting route for the back. I agree, it needs something to level out the rear. I'm leary about paint 'cause everything I've done to the car can be removed to make it bone stock - if it ever needs to be that way again some day. Paint is sort of permanent but we'll see. And here's "before" and after pics for comparison.

And DEREK.......yeah I know.....those mudflaps are going, going......gone!! Shoulda told me last week at the BBQ, you wouldn't have hurt my feelings (much) and I would have taken them off right there 'cause I know everyone's thinking the same thing. It's just so nice not having any stone chips or dirt thrown up back there.

And Bpmurr....nope, no camber issues with the Steeda springs but I guess I was lucky. You're right, seems to be hit or miss.

I like that look a lot. The only thing I don't like are the double fender emblems. It looks too busy IMO. I'd take off the bottom emblem and it would be perfect. The black rocker panel is a great touch though.

where did you get the rockers from? One of mine looks like it wasn't installed right in the factory and not sure if it is fixable. I'm going to see if the dealer will fix it under warrenty, but I dunno if they will.

Sounds like a pretty good price on those rockers. I would guess about $100 US based on that. Do you have the part numbers?

That looks great. The black on the bottom accents the black wheels really well. ... Only I think the mirrors stand out too much now.

Oh God yes, would I love a shaker!! Waiting for the CDC unit to come out, hopefully the quality is great.

First though, the back end needs to get blacked out on the bottom somehow. And the mirrors, yup, I agree, they should be body color. Ford should'a done that. Maybe when my phantom MRT quarter louvers get built (someday I hope), I'll get everything painted at the same time.

Jason - sorry buddy, I threw out the box the rockers came in but it'll take all of a few seconds at the dealership for them to bring up the V6 p/n's for you.

Thanks for the comments (good, bad, indifferent) everyone - they're much appreciated and help make alot of decisions easier. Mark.

You've done a great job!!! LL is an awesome color and the black meshes perfectly. I'm sure that car turns a lot of heads. In fact, I noticed in one of the pics that the dog across the street is spellbound.

Yes that's the dreaded, fixated resident border collie. She's dreamin of the day when she too gets to ride in the Mustang. Otherwise, she's relegated to the Vovo in the background.

Thanks for the compliments Tom !!
