New Shelby Torq Thrust M Wheels

In preparation for my upcoming Whipple install I have installed new wheels and tires
Pictured are 18" American Racing Shelby Torq Thrust M's in Anthracite
The staggered approach was for me going 255/45-18 on a 18x9 out front and 285/40-18 on a 18x10 wheel in back.

The pics are so-so, the shadows were long this morning before work. Hope you enjoy. I will try to get some better, more detailed pics soon and will add them to my photobucket and update the thread

Awesome wheels. Hey, are cars are basically twins! Same chin spoiler, same ducktail. If I had the stock grill in, it would be eerie!

Very nice.... I heard that bullits put a halt on big brake kits if you want to go that route someday. As I understand it bullits no matter the size rim don't have clearance for bigger calipers... The only reason why I am brining it up is because of the WHipple. Believe me, you will need to stop and with that S/C, you may need to stop alot quicker than you not having an S/C...

I was hoping that wasn't true, but after having them installed there is no way any bigger caliper will clear. I has assumed that they would but your post in the other thread got me thinking/researching to see it if would work. My only option will be a spacer. I'm a fan of them but if it's what I have to do..... However, big brakes will be going on, just not immediately.

Thanks Your cars where the first Vista Blues I saw when I started looking at the site and the ones I used to make my decisions for the stripes and ducktail. I couldn't be any happier. Thank YOU !!

A small place here in So Cal. They gave me a great deal and I was very happy with their service. If you are interested let me know (I have no idea if they ship out) and I can get you their number/website.

Looks awesome Brian!

Have you looked into the GT500 Brembo brakes? They might be the 'smallest' of the big brakes.

Perfect size wheels and tires IMO. Don't worry you will still be able to smoke those tires once you get that huffer on there.

Any recommendations on 18" wheels that WILL clear a big brake kit?

I LOVE THEM! I have the same wheels in black though hehe. If you find any big brake set ups that use these send me a PM asap because I don't know of any and I would love a big brake set up!

yes I have heard those do. unfortunately I already have my wheels and now it's more about what brakes will fit onto my wheels. I really would take almost any upgrades I could get honestly. Simply can't find anything really that works with these wheels
