New Paint Job (Photoshop) - Need Feedback

For those that know of me, it is time for me to make some changes to the exterior of the 'Stang, since the Mech mods are done. Basically, I am getting the car repainted Torch Red, with some black-outs and badging removed (sides and rear), the B9 hood scoop, SS Ducktail and the Gt/CS front end. A friend of mine mocked this up for me (both with and with-out the SS Center - Mounted Light grill).

I would like some feedback / opinions - it goes to paint this Monday

I think it looks best with the stock grille. I think you should black out the center of the lower bumper spoiler and lower grille.

The hood scoop looks kinda big. The scoop and center part of the bumper look cool in black but don't know about the top, looks a little odd to me. I also think to have centered fogs you need stripes to make them look really good.

Sorry I'm not more positive and if you dig it go for it, but thats my opinion.

With either setup, I think if you lose the lanyards the front won't look so busy. I like your car.

Put some flames on the scoop and paint the bottom rocker black the length of the car. Also paint the ducktail black.

I like it better with the body color rockers, I personally have never liked the black side rockers (a la V6 and GT500).

I think it looks great with the stock grill. I'm with nynvolt, I think the center fogs only look good with strips. The black top looks cool also.

Hey Brian,
Did mine with the black skirts and black front spoiler. Plan on getting the GT-500 rear clip with black bottom and the Parnelli Jones black Spoiler to finish it off.
Might not look right with yours having matte black and gloss black.
Like the black top.

Hey Steve, Hope all is well with you. Did you paint the screens black on the Dream Hood? Sandy

It looks kinda wierd to me, not exactly sure why though.

Have you tried a photoshop where the hood is completely black?

Personally I don't like the black roof at all. I've seen many painted car roofs over the years and it always looks to me like a vinyl roof got removed after the car was repainted!

I say if you're going to two tone the car do the whole top half including the hood and trunk lid not just the top of the car.

With all the black, I think this would look good. Gives it a little bit of a sinister, meaner look.

If the scoop is going to be black, then I think the hood should be black too. While you're at it, the trunk decklid and spoiler in black also.

If I may put in my 2 cents. Not that torch red is a bad color by any means but if you are taking the time and the money to repaint the car . . . why would you chose a factory color that is already out there? There are so many great colors out there that are in the red family or some other family that would really make your car stand out from crowd. Half of the fun of repainting that car is to pick a color that really makes the wow factor go up.

Factory colors are great but that is what everyone else has. People will think you had a torch red car and painted some things black.

The key to really setting yourself apart is to find that great color (maybe a candy or something like that) that really sets you apart from the crowd. Just my thoughts.

I think it these ideas look great . . . but with money for a repaint in your budget the potential is huge!

He's got a link to his web site, his car actually already is torch red.

I think that was his point. Since it's already Torch Red and he's going to repaint the whole thing anyway, why not change to a different color so the red portions of the car won't be the same color as all the other TR Mustangs out there.

Hey Sandy,
I had them paint the screens black when the hood was installed.
