With my income tax check here it is time to get rid of my rusting stock hood. I have narrowed it down to two choices
SH-GT Trufiber

or
GTR Trufiber

This is how the car stands now

i would but i just do not like the look on my car. I am looking for more of the road racer look, and since i have the steeda street wing i do not think it will go with it. I am also planning on going with the PJ front end soon after the hood.
I actually like the setup you have now better than those....but if i had to choose...Id go GTR with a black car.
The only reason why i am swapping hoods is because my stock hood is rusting/corroding and ford does not want to fix it. I had it fixed once and since then they say they only fix it once. My painter even said it might be cheaper to buy a new hood and have it painted rather than have him strip the hood, remove the corrosion, and repaint it. Plus he does not guarantee that it will not bubble up again.
Where is your hood rusting and why? I like the first one sh-gt, but I don't like the pin placement. They should be more forward and farther out.

At first i thought it was my hood pins because most of the corrosion was around the hood pin, but when i first noticed the corrosion it was on the lip of the hood and seemed to be there BEFORE i added the hood pins. Well Ford did a warrenty repaint on the hood, but i do not think the dealership i sent it to did a good job. Well now the hood is bubbling up bad around the hood pin and at the rear of the hood. I know many would say it is the hood pin that is causing the problem but why would it start to happen at the REAR of the hood. And i do not see any way the water would run through the paint and and at the pack without leaving some kind of road map to the rear.
Save yourself the trouble and don't buy a TruFiber hood. I've heard nothing but bad things from many people about fitment, finish, and just overall quality. Not to mention all of their hood styles are just knock-offs of other companies' hoods. Spend a bit extra and go with an RK Sport, Kaenan/Steeda, or Cervinis hood. You'll spend more up front but save in the end when the body shop doesn't need hours upon hours of prep work to get the hood looking presentable.
Ok thanks to you guys i have decided on two new hoods, either
Cervinis 67 style hood

or the hood Marcello uses on his car which is a Sun Coast Ram Air hood

so far almost everyone on here has had something to say about Trufiber so to avoid being another person to the list i will stick to these companies. And the only reason you do not see the RKsport or Cervinis hood on here is because too many people around where i live have that hood and to me it seems like a version of my stock hood with scoops in the front where the SunCoast has a bit of a lift and deeper scoops.
