I've been looking for hoods almost daily. This one from Mustang Deopt just showed up.
Styled after the 67 Shelby with hood louvers on A/C equipped cars.
Twin scoops (like BBRs) with the louvers on each side.

Wow. I can honestly say that I had two reactions at once. First reaction was that it was too much, second was that I like it. Sooo.. I guess I am undecided.

Too much on one hood for me. But I love the louvered look, that would really help the air build up issue under the hood that some have experienced. Do any of you know of just a louver kit for these cars?????

I like it, if you are going for that sort of look.
Of course, I have always like the old Shelby shooped and louvered hood.

Looks good, wonder if the louvers are functional? That would be nice!

I'd prefer the RK Sport "California Dream'n" Hood with those louvers... a serious nod to the '68 Shelby

Interesting. It does resemble the Shelby hood, but I forget which year had the vents and scoop... I'd need to see better pics before making a decision if I like it or not. I'm also curious if the scoop and vents are functional.

The scoop is like the '67 Shelby while the vents are ala '68. The '68 Shelby had the scoops farther forward on the hood than the '67.

I think the vents on the '68 were Shelby's answer to the possibility of the hood coming off... but that's just my semi-educated thought on it.

Its 67 Shelby scoops and louvers. Only A/C cars had the louvers added.

Hmm... interesting, learn something new everyday. Always associate those louvers with the '68 Shelby as every single '68 I've seen has had them.

68s have different scoops. Extend to very near the front of the hood.
Most pics of 67s dont have the louvers, but if you look around you can find them.
Not a great photo, but you can see the louvers

I am not certain but I think the 68 GT500s all had them, and the 68 GT350s didnt.

Yep, I know... '68 Shelby is my favorite year. Just haven't seen any '67s with louvers that I can recall. All the '68s had those louvers to pull heat off the engine, I do believe. Either or thanks for the pictures, I sit/stand/am otherwise corrected.
