New Hood

Picked up my new hood last weekend and finally was able to get some pics of her installed. Let me know what you think. It is a Kaenen 67 Shelby hood.

Nice and clean looking. Looks like it belongs.

It looks like the passenger side of it is a little higher then the fender. Maybe an optical illusion in the picture but if not I had the same thing with my aftermarket hood. I took some small washers where it was higher and shimmed the fender. looks perfect now.

Keanan does great fiberglass work ,but is very slow at getting stuff out.Don't believe me ask Chris Jones of Blow-By Racing! Keanan has cost him so much money on not getting the products to him in time.

Very clean and aggressive-looking!

So, I take it that hood pins are virtually a necessity on S197 fiberglass hoods?

The underside is so glossy that I can't tell if it is a functional hood scoop. Is it functional and if so where does it dump the incoming air?

Now if they would just make a 68 Shelby hood.

Thanks

Very nice! Kaenen does amazing work! I refuse to put any other hood on my Stangs.

Not functional. It could be if I were to cut out the scoops though.

Thanks, that was the look I was going for.

Pins are not necessary as long as you don't go over lets say 75 mph. If you want to go faster than that, then yes they are necessary in my opinion.

I thought the same when I looked at it, really like this style, clean and not-overstated.

I like it but I'm partial to the 67 look, I have a similar style hood thats functional on my S197 GT350 tribute car.

I like it. I have a similar hood from RK Sport. It's functional. Yours is more exact to the '67 style though which I dig.
