New Factory Style Grille with Center Mount Lights

Street Scene used my 06 Mustang GT yesterday to test their new center mount driving light grille shell. The shell is made from injection molded plastic so it mounts, feels and looks like an OE grille shell. The driving lights clear the hood release so there are no installation issues. ( the lights are tight but they do clear) There is no warping on the bottom of the shell and it fits perfect at all the edges. I'm told that they will be going into production in about 3 weeks and will have them available in about 5 weeks. They are making two part numbers- one for the GT and one for the V6 so they are vehicle specific. The GT will be coming out first followed in about 2 months for the V6.

On a side note, these guys were a real class act. I was very worried about them test fitting the grille on my car, but they carefully taped everything and took care with the hardware not to scratch or damage anything. This was definitely worth the wait, if you didn't know better you would swear this is a factory piece.

Looks like the fogs stick out too far. Looks bug eyed.
More pics would help. Can't see any detail at all.

Plus, the lights look closer together than the grill from KSR. Don't know if I like this one or the one I already have (the warps and all).

I know we have already seen some prototype pics of this grille and the spacing looks darn close to the KSR grille so I am pretty sure they will look fairly close to being the same....but Street Scene should be better quality

I think this look works with stripes in your car, otherwise, it looks crossed-eye... IMO

Yep. The fogs are definitely sticking out too far.

So put the new Cervinis Boss front end on it, that'll make them suck back in.

Might be an interesting combo, actually. The piece does look pretty well finished, very much like the stock grill.

I don't see how those are sticking out much further, if any, than the KSR grille. However, that might be why these ones don't have the fog lights hitting the crossmember.

Good point. Maybe they chose function over form.

Here's a comparison to show the difference. KRS looks to be about 3/4" "in" from the front of the lip, while the SSE version looks to about a 1/2" "over" the lip.

Is it just me or are the lights closer together also?

I NEED one of these grills like yesterday, I'm having my car fully painted and the bumper cover is off and they can install it while its out.

Does anyone have one they want to sell???

I like it.

Pros:
Much better looking than stock, but matches the stock grill pattern.
Will be available two months before the new KSR production
No fitment issues or waves,
Looks black, not dark grey

Cons:
Does look like the lights are out just a tad too far, but at least I won't have to hack on my frame to make them fit.

It's a nice idea and looks fine, but I'd miss the horse!
