It depends on the job you get. I had mine painted for about that price and then another 500 to have it redone. Check the guys work. Dont just take the best price.

I paid 600 but he did alot of custom work and restores cars for a living. Dont cheap out on paint. You want perfect color match and something that will stay the same color from year to year.

no this guys work is great hes done my chin spoiler in the past. A note on the chin spoiler, i put a small gash in it and he wants 150 to reapir and paint it, I might try to get him to throw in with the 300 for the hood. for 150 i might just live with the blemish

installing a hood isnt that hard. see what he wants just for paint. snag a buddy and install the hood yourself. Maybe have him do the spoiler paint for cost of the hood install.

Don't be afraid to install the parts yourself. I saved about 400 bucks when I had a fender and facia sprayed. Installed everything myself then took them the car for blending.

Take this advice.....trust me. I'm paying to have my Roush front fascia redone. I decided to go to a custom painter for hood..1300.00 The guy is sanding down bead line in center of hood and refilling also as well as hood pin install

If its a factory oem hood, then yes. But if it is fiberglass, then
Im assuming there is no prep work.

Here's mine $800.00 later. Does your painter have a paint booth? Have you seen any of his work? Good luck on whatever you do.
