Def the hood I've been waiting for. Not all bumped up like the cali dream hood and its low profile like the MRT 6t6 hood. Perfect. Can't wait to order it!

 

Why does it seem like everyone is coming out with the same hood design. To me (at least at quick glance), it looks the same as the 6t6, the Cali dream, and another company's that someone posted a few days ago (I can't remember the company at the present time).

So, that makes 4 hoods that all look more or less identical.

It does look nice though

 

Actually they are all very diffrent.. its only that they have 2 front ducts that is the same..

 

they are differant... but it is so subtle that is seems rather moot IMO

 

This is basically a MRT 6t6 and cali dream love child hood. Its got the cali dream hood openings but doesn't bump up and ugly up the cars smooth lines. I love the MRT hood but the angled openings just look wierd.

 

Me to, i love it man, any idea when it will be avialbe and for how much?

Very nice, but I love my Ca. Dream hood. I think the hood bulge looks kinda tough, like the '68 Shelby hood, but admit it could've been designed better to allow you to raise your wipers. (you can't) At least the rear edge of the CA Dream hood is done better than the '68, which looks kinda goofy with the blackout sections facing the driver. The Cervinis hood does look more like the concept car's hood, which is cool. With an aftermarket front fascia and some scoops (Xenon?) you could make a reasonable copy of the concept car, except for the interior, of course.

This hood design is 45" wide in the front, 51" wide at the rear, 1/4" over stock in front and the rear. The openings are 16" wide and 7/8" tall. Installs to all factory locations and utilizes the factory hood latch bar.






Would you need hood pins with this thing? I have always thought an aftermarket hood would be nice, but really not into the hood pin look.

I sure hope the quiality is better than the CaliDream. Ive heard nothing but high prep cost for those. Crappy fitment and what not.

Looks pretty good - and the California Dream hood I had on my old 05 was great quality and easy to prep.

cervini hoods are near perfect in terms or quality anf fit..

I think the fitment issues were with RK Sports GTR hood. That is still my favorite but I have stayed away from it because of the fitment issues.

 

Here's my question about that pic - is Cervini doing a chin spoiler???

Look at the front of that Stang - that looks like the regular GT front fascia, and the chin spolier looks like the CDC classic - EXCEPT that it has the Cervini 'peaks' extending out right where the molded lines of the spoiler are (like the Eleanor front fascia......)

 

I think I answered my own question, but after digging around the forums on the Cervini's website, they seem to be saying that the bolt-on hoods do not require hood pins.

How exactly does this ram air work? Any potential dangers if you've got a C&L intake?

 

They have built in ducting with baffles for water and it dumps over the area where the stock air box was. So it should have zero issues with the C&L. Just don't expect a real performance gain
