Hey guys, here's some installed pics of the plenum I just got from Hireman. The Steeda Strut tower Brace BARELY fits over the cover, but I made it work. Had to use a couple washers under the brace to lift it a little higher and it still touchs the cover a little bit but the engine still is able to rock when you rev it.

I would be afraid of ruining the paint job???

Yeah the brace will stratch it a little bit but it's covered up by the brace. I just can never take the brace off or you'll see it... Trust me the brace is worth having. It helps with corning at speeds.

Bill, you should have no trouble seeling that beauty.

To the guy with the Steeda strut brace... are you crazy? Not only would I be worried about scratching the paint job, but the brace also covers the paint job. I would take that off in a second and sell it. I mean, looking at your mods you aren't making your car to be a road racer. You have no suspension upgrades at all, so I take it the strut tower brace is strictly cosmetic, correct?

Yeah just 4 bolts and very easy. Helps a lot if you have a 5/16" deep socket. I did not have one and was just using a wrench and I could only get 3 bolts off. I could not quiet get the wrench in there to get the 4th bolt. Once I went and bought the deep socket, I was done in seconds.

The radiator cover , fuse box in these pics are the factory items. There are several ways to prep these for paint. The guy who ordered this paticular combo wanted them as slick as I could get them. The labor to prep the parts was around 100.00 to make them really smooth. (lots of sanding and grinding required). There was an additional 75.00 to base coat all parts. The radiator cover was 200.00 to airbrush ( LOTS of flames there) , the fusebox cover was 75.00 to flame and the plenum was 175.00. He wanted a showcar finish on them and to paint them and get that it requires a lot of work ( just look at the finish on these parts under your hood)....these now are slick as glass. And by the way, there is NO bondo or filler in any part, they were all worked smooth them prepped for painting.
As you can see, this is not a cheap thing to do but when you take into account the amount of work and flames involved it really is a bargin....just ask anyone whos ever had this type of painting done on a harley for example. I really wish there was a way to truly show what these looked like in a picture but you jsut cant ( or I cant anyway...LOL)
Thanks for the compliments.....I would do this design on a plenum, I would not reccommend it on a radiator cover. Match whatever flames and base on the plenum to the radiator cover....leave the more detailed art for the plenum....its the center-piece. The design on the 04 cover adds about 60.00 to the cost of a flame job no matter what its on.
Thanks Mark....I really appreciate it
These were just the factory ford parts he sent me to rework and flame.
