Need your opinion, do these hood pins look good?

I mocked up my hood pins and would like your honest opinion on looks. I diddn't like them at first but I think they are growing on me. My car is kind of old school with staggard racelines / knockoffs and I think the pins fit this immage. If you wouldn't mind, take a look and give me your opinion. The blue is the tape I used to hold everything togethor.
Thanks!

probably not what you want to hear...but I'm not sure....I guess it looks ok...but I dont think they look "AWESOME!"
I originally bought them for safety. I hit 120mph in a flash when I was passing a couple of semi trucks and my hood fluttered a couple of times which scared me.
I have not seen stripes on a convertable that I have liked or I would get some. The best I can think of for my car is some sort of custom "boss" type treatment that flows from the middle of the hood and splits to trail down the fenders. I do think a scoop would make the pins look better but I am not sure I want a stick on, non functional scoop either.

Hey there bro! Not sure what you mean by protective coating. The main pin and latch pins are chrome plated steel. The large "washers" that screw to the hood and the lanyards are stainless. The lanyards have a plastic coating, is that what you mean?
For you guys that say they look OK, I'm with you. What I am trying to decide is this: Looks better with -or- looks better without. You're posts are certainly appreciated buy they aren't helping me with my own indecision.
I like hood pins! I do agree that they seem to look better on cars that have a scoop or the CDC shaker kit. It kind of sucks drilling holes in your hood and then deciding that you don't like them.
Well undecided(location only). I like them, but think I would bring them in closer, more over the Fog/Driving Lights. My only caution would be, if your even thinking possible striping, to hold off then place them according to what you want, and not have to comprimise your style choices because you already placed the pins. Keep them, but hold off till you kow what look your really going after, then do it all together,

Here are a few shots, I went with the Sparco's, did not like the wire flopping in the wind and scratching the hood. As for placement, I went with the pins just off the radiator cover. So where they hit on the hood is where they are. I did not feel like trying to match up a lot of things for placement.
