I think I am going with the shaker hood scoop. I striped the side of the car yesterday and have done some (bad) photoshops of what I have in mind for the hood. I also have a 69 Mach1 picture that has kind of the look I'm looking at. The red stripe around the blacked out section would only be 1/4". The photoshop is bigger than what I had in mind. That's the best I could do.

White black and red is a great color combo! Match the 69s hood pins and hood scope and a front chin spoiler ( I have the Shinoda) and i think your dead on!. I would add some black to the side stirps also...

Looks good but I think the black out on the hood needs to be wider.

It's a Snap On. It belongs to a friend of mine. It made putting the side stripes on easy.

I thought that lift looked good too. Went to their website and it looks like those start at $4000.00.

Here is the link. I'm sure a non-snap on would be cheaper.

One more time. I will be cutting the hood this weekend. I am still undecided on what to do with the hood. Please tell me what you think of this idea. Post 1 is a bad photoshop of what I have in mind.

Maybe a bit wider?

With the pinstripe being red.

I like what I see in the photochop. I think the black is about right. I actually like the wider red in the photochop because of your red interior upgrade. A 1/4" red would be too small, I would go with the dimensions above really and let it fan out a little. The only other thing I can see that would be sweet is to do the Mustang part of the side stripe in Black to match the Hood and then black out between the tailights.

Are you completely sold on the Shaker? A good number around and more to follow. What about using the Cobra Jet scoop on the 69 you pictured. Its readily available for sereral places, Mustangs Unlimited for one. Would be a more unique look.

I already have the shaker. I originally thought about red Le Mans stripes, but once I saw this idea, I thought it would be something different. I see a lot of Le Mans stripes and I had them on my last car, a 66 Shelby clone. This time I thought I wouldn't "clone" anything. A GT is nothing to ashamed of. I just want to enhance it a bit.

I'm not saying they are awful. They've been done. I've had them, you have them. I am looking for something different.

I cut the hood yesterday. It should go to the painters this week.
