I am not sure if you read the other post going around that DCF is over....so these hoods arn't being made anymore. If you can get one then good luck.

Looks a lot like the California Dream hood from RK Sports.

No prob... and for those who are wondering. I stopped up @ DCF today and I got a "probably, but still a maybe" on the hoods being sold off on ebay. There's like 7-8 left. Some are painted but I think they would only sell the rough ones, that were not finished. From what I could understand, no where near the $1300 original price. So, like I said before, be on the lookout on EBAY!

edit: Just realized saying I 'stopped up'..... I should say I did work there, it is currently closed to the public.

01rtgurl - Is that a fiberglass hood and if so do you have any lifting problems at speed?

Yes, it's fiberglass. And well, it's not my car BUT I know that they did not have problems "at speed". 100+ mph was noted w/o problems (the stock hood had some lift).

Yeah, I always loved this hood. Will subscribe to this thread as well in addition to watching ebay. I really want one of these and it sucks that DCF went under. Thanks for letting us know what is going on 01rtgurl !!

Wow this thread has been dead since just after DCF went out of business.

05GT-O.C.D. are these hoods from the original DCF molds? The intakes don't look as high as the TruFiber GTS-2 and GTS-3 hoods which is a good thing. The Original DCF hoods were a much more subtle design than any of the later 68KR copies by other manufacturers. More details please.

Not much to say Bob. I had saw some on ebay and emailed/bid but ended up not winning the auction. A few days ago I got an email from them saying that they're cleaning out the shop and found 2 that they didn't know they had and asked if I wanted one since I was local. I offered to buy them both, then went up and got them yesterday. Without question, my favorite hood. similar to the Tfiber hoods but no ridge peak, etc.

It's kinda sad. I went up there last night to a huge empty building. Just a few odds and ends left, no other hoods though... believe me, I checked. I've loved this hood and was sad when they went under.

Sounds like a good haul on your part. You might want to hang on to both of them, I would. For comparison here are some photos of the GTS-2 and GTS-3. This is Scotte28516s GTS-2.

P.S. I like your new avatar a lot better than your old one.

Hey Jessica, what part of NEOH? You live up near there? How come I never knew they were there until after they closed?
