OK, I've placed my pre-order for the new RK Sport California Dream Hood.

I'm at a loss on painting it solid Satin Silver to match my 05 GT or adding some gloss black to it. (Adding the black confuses my small brain - I can't visualize - gotta see it) Don't laugh too hard - it's tough getting old.

I'm planning on painting the factory spoiler gloss black, the area between the tail lights black and some type of black stripes on the bottom sides like many are doing.

So the concepts in my mind were (versions 1 - 4 attached).

WHICH VERSION WOULD LOOK BEST IN YOUR OPINION ???? BUT I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR/SEE SOME OTHER THOUGHTS/IDEAS - PLEASE HELP ME OUT !!!!!

The original pic wasn't that good of quality, therefore, the photshops can't be top quality. THANK YOU member "Hotrod" for the photoshop help. But, I think you can get the concept of the design ideas.

Version 3. Seems balanced. Natural.

I like 3 best -

1 actually isn't bad.

Funny - I have a black GT and the hood on order - and was thinking about doing a hood paint scheme ala your #3 and the Steeda cars....

Number 1 and 3. They actually had stripes like #1 back in '68, though the scoops were reversed back then. #3 reminds of the '69 Machs and Bosses. Either is great. Maybe leave a thin body-color edge around the front on 3? Let us know how it turns out...

Version 1 is my pick. I've been drooling over that hood myself and I've got a black mustang GT so I wonder if the reverse would look good on mine??

Version 1 was what I was also thinking about with the spoiler and the area between the rear lights the same color. Also was thinking about doing the back long glass window louver in black like the old 70's had.
I think for now I will just leave it the color of the car. I like the body lines of the hood.
Keep us up on what you have done and of course attach pictures.
