I'm looking to by 20" TSW Mondello's

The size is 20x10 with a 20mm offset. There is also a 20x8.5 with a 30 or 40mm offset.

Which size is going to be my best fit with no rubbing? I plan on going with the Saleen supension package but I have no idea what the drop is. What size tire would I be going with to keep my speedo accurate? Thanks!

I am going with 20 inch Hyper Black TSW Catalunya's. I think I am going to go with the 8.5. I've been checking around and I think 255x35s are the size I am going with. I'm not an expert on tires at all though.. so hopefully someone else posts

20" is too big for the '05.
Looks too ghetto. Otherwise it's a good looking wheel.
But you should go with the +40mm offset.

actually I think that 20 is the perfect size for the 05 anything else kinda looks too small....I am not one for the 20in + rims but on the 05 I think it looks perfect... I will def. be buying 20 inch rims

I have TSW thurxtun hyper gray md's. I think a 20in rim fits the car well. The wheel wells are huge you could even go bigger, but I think 20in is big enough.

And in now way does a 20in rim look ghetto.

Yeah I know, this pic has been posted before.

The dealer I have mine on order with put 20's on both a GT and a V6. There still seems to be a nice amount of tire tread.

Nicksolheim how is the ride with the 20's compaired to the 17's that came with it? What is the offset of your rims. I know with the 19's on my 03 Accord I can feel a good bit from the pavement. I'm starting to get sick of feeling the bumps actually.

Ya know I don't really know the offset of the wheel. The wheels were actually on a GT that was on a show room floor on consignment from Les Schwab. So I knew they would fit. The customer didn't want to pay the extra money for them, so the dealer sent them back to les schwab. I got a bit of a discount for this reason.

As for the ride, yeah it is a little rougher but not that bad actually. It is well worth IMO. The only thing that stinks is, now I have to watch the road more closely for those pot holes.

It does it if it's chrome and spins even when you are stopped.

Kirby-

You must, MUST post pics when you get those wheels on. I like the Mondello's, but prefer the Catalunyas. Not sure I'll go with 20", probably 19 and a small drop.

I agree that 19s are the way to go with a 1-1.5 inch drop. With 20s it is impossible to lower the car another inch without the ride being too harsh. And it will get a slammed lowrider look imo.

As for tires, I'd go with a 265 or 275s. I run 275/40-17s (17x9 rims) on my 96. You should be able to get 275s under there without a problem. I've not shopped for 19- or 20-in tires, but I'd expect you can get 275s.
Since I'm in a good mood (and a tire guy), I checked TireRack. They recommend 245/45-19s or 245 front with a 275/40-19 rear.
With 20", they suggest 255/35-20s or 255/35-20s w/265/35-20 on the rear.
There are lots of sizes available in the KDW-2.
For drag racers, I like bigger tires out back, but for street or road courses, I like have all four matched so you can rotate.
Having said that, there's nothing like a 315 tire out back!

I like those TSW Mondello's. 20" are fine on the '05, imo.
Here are my 19" x 8" Exel Wheels in Hyper-Black.

hey 05 satin, your wheels look sweeeeeeeeet!!!!

I like the red calipers, still trying to decide which color to go with for my car. I am thinking yellow, but I am constantly changing my mind.

I would go with the 19's but the Mondello's don't come in the right bolt pattern and offset.

20" rims= Rough ride, easy tire flats, and poor traction. Forgive if I'm mistaken here, but wasn't the purpose of bringing back the old 60's style fastback on the '05 Mustang the main part of the cars appeal? When you go and bling these cars out, you defeat the original purpose why this car is such a hit and it really gives a contrasting look to the ride. Now this is all IMO, so flame on...

Thank the maker someone else finally said it., I didn't want to be the only difference in opinion. 18s are more than enough IMO. After that, the wheels take more appeal away from the actual car itself. I would prefer people say nice car rather than nice wheels. Just me though ....
