Ditto, although I supposed it might be vinyl too (like what's used for tape stripes)

I tought is was cool because it sort of goes with the black out panel. I was just wondering how to do this nicely so it doesn't look stupid from close up!!!

Maybe try black electrical tape to see if you like the look on your car and get the width right and then go from there on figuring out how to do it

You could always buy one of the stainless steel tail light bezel sets and paint it black before you install it! Below is a picture of one of my tail lights w/ the stainless steel one....

Just did it w/ semi-gloss spray paint, if I don't like it later, I can always remove it.
I know, It needs a good washing!!!

It is not the same as the taillight bezels. The company taped off the sections and then spray painted them flat black (same as the trunk lid) to make the lenses themselves look smaller like the mach style. I was going to do the same thing but decided not to do the blackout panel.

There is a bezel for sale like that. It doesn't cover up quite as much as that paint, but they are much "bulkier" than the other bezels out there.

Someone on here has a set. (It's a screaming yellow '05 if that helps )

I was going to post the same thing, but StangNut beat me to it. Got my set in tonight will put them on tomorrow. They stick on with tape around the light. I will post pics when I get them on. AVS makes them
