My New Stripes
I always did like the look of stripes on Mustangs. I decided to go with wide 12 inch stripes with 2 1/4 inches between them. Pinstripes on the outsides reach out about another inch.

I had him go over the trunk as well as the spoiler, although you can't really see it. Goes all the way down and stops at the diffuser.

The stripes start from the top of the chin lip. In the end, we just decided to take off the hood scoop and just go all the way over the hood, then put it back on. This way, he didn't have to cut around it so it looks cleaner. Putting vinyl on the scoop wouldn't have worked very well toward the back where it bends. There would have been too many bubbles and cracks in it. I like the look of it though.
While I was there, I also experimented a little. I decided to have him put a clear vinyl over all the lenses. Headlights, fogs, ambers, 3rd brake light, tails and the red lenses on the rear fenders. The light out from the front isn't as bright, but its not too incredibly restrictive. In time when I upgrade my bulbs, it should take care of that.
He's planning on putting some of the clear vinyl on Ebay, so i'm sure if I could get enough interest I could talk to him about a "group buy" sort of thing. This was done at House of Graphix in Las Cruces, NM.

I like more traditional colors, but it makes you happy then I'm happy for you. I might be worried about resale value, but the aesome thing about vinyl is that it's removable.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I'm just go glad and not so stressed out about it looking ugly. I went back and forth on how wide, should I or shouldn't I... I always knew purple was the color to do though! Some co-workers really hate it, but I don't give a flip. This makes me feel like my young mind isn't stupid.
