Installed the CDC chin spoiler......looks good!
Need your advice. Xenon hood scoop? Or no hood scoop. Keep in mind the silver shelby stripes are next.
I apologize in advance for the dark pictures......just got finished.

That really looks good - and I like the hood scoop, but it looks like I am already out numbered! You can't go wrong with the stripes...
Rather than a scoop, how do you feel about a new hood?

[attachmentid=37695]If you mod your Mustang with anything that should be functional, it should be functional. Otherwise, if its your cup of tea, go for it! Im leaning towards the Saleen hood. I like the smooth hood look myself

The hood in the pic that I posted is from this site:
http://www.thedreamcarfactory.com/
I have heard good and bad about some of the aftermarket hoods... I don't have any experience with an aftermarket (fiberglass) hood yet, but it seems most of the problems happened right after the release dates. Perhaps they were released too soon.
I think the manufacturers have (or should have) most of the bugs worked out by now. Maybe it is a good idea to wait until the hood has been out for a while.
Anyway, there are plenty people on this site who can give you advice on the subject.

RK Sport had issues with the first hood they released, GTR style. There are several of us who have installed the California Dreamin hood from RK Sport and the fit & finish is 1000% better. Lots of satisfied customers here on TMS...

Personaly, I'd get your Striping Painted First. Whreas SEMA is in full-swing. I'd wait on a functional scoop to pop it's head. Then paint to match and bolt on. I think the Xenon is a tad square and bulky for a non-functional scoop. And if it's just asthetics and not performance-added you want, maybe something less protruding, like the Roush Scoop, would blend better with the Stripes. I waited a long time for my 99 GT scoop before I found the right one. CDC finally came out with a functional ram-air system that blended well, without major surgery. I'm holding off myself on my 05, for a similar product. Good Luck, but keep seaching!!
