Mustang painted mirror covers
Has anyone tried these new mustang mirror covers. Here's the link to the site at hubcaps plus. THese cover the full mirror not just half of it like some of the others. THey claim they can factory color match the paint.
Any experiences or opinions welcome!

I've got these in black. They shipped quick, put 'em on in 10 minutes and they haven't budged yet. Quality is good, color match was exact. I was looking ahem today on the way home thinking that I can't belive these cars don't just come this way. On of the best appearance mods I've done. You may not notice it at first especially on a black car, but with te same polish and wax that the body gets and it just looks like it was made that way. Beatiful. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow, baby's asleep right now.

My mirrors have this kind of plastic texture to them. How would I paint them without the paint looking bad or flaking off? THese things look like they'd take armor-all better than paint. Were the 05 to 07's smooth?

I agree, the mirrors should have come from the factory painted body color. I really like the look of those covers, that just might be my next purchase, hmmmm.
LAK3RS, are you talking about spray can painting them??? I'd be worried that the paint would look terrible. Anybody had any luck doing it that way? That would definitely be more cost effective if you could get a decent durable finish.

Fully painted does look good but I'm still happy with the two color scheme, the Midwest "half" covers. They were only $75 and gave the exact look I wanted.

Ok, forgive me if this is a stupid question but did yours come with painted covers? Mine is a GT but has the plastic look mirrors with the texture on them. I have to admit my GT is a pretty low optioned car, actually under the options section of the window sticker there wasn't anything printed so I got the "base" GT.
Just wondering if I'm missing something is all.
