Hi I have seen these scoops on some of the new 05 mustangs and was wondering how do people clean their windows once these are put on. Wouldn't you get a build up of residue and dirt ?? just a curious question !!

 

That's why I'm not interested so far. Plus I have not seen any finished on the inside. If some manufacture has addressed those two issues and if they look good also I'd be interested.

 

Moving this to exterior mods section however since I have them installed on my car I will answer your question.

First off, just so you know, those are louvers, not scoops. Those are made by MRT, which are the ones I have. MRT is working on a bracket that will allow them to be removable. Currently they are not, however, you can still clean the glass. I just use a concentrated soap similar to the "pre-soak" option at a do-it-yourself car wash. That removes any film that is on the glass. If you live in an area that has hard water, the Mr. Clean autodry system works great for something like this. Leaves no water spots.
