Thanks guys!!!

Yes, the vents are actually open! I bought the Stainless Steel Screen Kit which of course is silver... which of course is reflecting the yellow... which makes it look like the vents are closed! LOL! I'll get some close up pics... Also I'm having Carl paint them black next week...think that will make it look even better! LOL!

As far as raised above stock... i would say very little... the cowls are raised a bit... it's just hard to photograph it... LOL!

That's a nice hood and you're car looks awesome overall! The only thing that I don't like are the yellow tinted lights. Nice car though!

When I told Carl, I was thinking about going with an aftermarket fiberglass hood he kind of rolled his eyes at me and warned about running in to extra cost due to fitment problems and a lot of extra prep work, that is pretty typical with these types of hoods... Well, as it turned out there were ZERO fitment issues and Carl said it was one of the nicest pieces he had ever seen.. that it really was a high quality piece!

Well... I asked Cassie from MRT the same thing... she has one on her car... She said it's really not a issue... I guess we'll see! LOL!

Well... Carl has been in the auto body business for 25 years... He commented that the MRT was one of the nicest pieces he had ever seen... He had told me some horror stories and warned me that going with an aftermarket hood I could run into all kinds of problems which would end up costing me $$$$... I think he was surprised just how well things went!

it's functional in that that vents are open... so it should bring cooler air into the engine bay... however there is no "plumbing" to take the outside air to the intake... so it's not like a ram-air hood...
