i really like the look of the hood, but honestly it looks like its poor quality.. it looked warped before you ever got it on the car... hopefully the body shop can fix it up right for you...

i am anxious to see it on the car painted though... i like the huge scoop look it has..

ill be sure to post pics once everthing is finished. as far as making the vents functional i wouldnt be doing it because afraid of water getting inside. i hope the hood will fit the gt500 bumper.

Not just water, but birds, traffic cones, and children's tricycles!

Seriously, see what the exchange/return policy is, the front of the lip is not even straight. Once you start to prep it, they won't do anything with it. I would swap it for something else, even if you have to pay freight. Just be honest with them, they may just fix you right up. They may not even know what the product looks like and may pull it from inventory.

Why would they charge you 20% when the hood is defected. If anything, they should send you a new hood. What's up with that..

I would agree to pay for shipping if they send me another hood....

make it funcional, the rain should just run into your stock airbox and drain out of it there..

thats how the shaker works.

I'm in Kailua, who did you order the hood from? Mr. Bodykit?
$250 to ship sounds pretty cheap for shipping.
Thanks for the info.

The nut size is 10mm , that much I know. Why cant you use the factory nuts that are there now? Seriously , I would send them some pics of that front edge and work something out on a return. We do hoods all the time and that hood, just from looking at the pics would be VERY expensive to fix the issues with it just to get it to the point where it fit correctly and thats before primer and paint. If you found someone to fit this hood properly , prep and paint it for under a grand I would be amazed and VERY suspect at the same time.
