Here you go. Sorry they're not the greatest pics, but it's very bright out at the moment. I can take some new ones later when the sun goes down. I just put the panel on about 10 minutes ago

Lookin nice MTAS.
Havent talked with you in awhile. Jackie and I ended up buying a 98 Ford Ranger truck about 2 weeks ago. So now the stang can stay safe at home while I work.

Well I just put my Moss Mustangs Slotted Taillight covers on tonight. I ended up scuffing them up and coating them in black trim paint. I think the look is quite good. I have a matte black rear blackout (magnetic) coming so it should look pretty tight.

Here are a couple shots..

and

I purchased a 3M Red scuffing pad and gave them a good work over and then rinsed and dried them off. Probably a bit aggressive in some parts (particularly taking that APC logo off of there (one was crooked even!). I did 2 coats last night with the black trim pain (purchased at Canadian Tire, I think it was Dupli-Color). I could still see some scratches so I gave them 2 more coats tonight (4 in total) and while they were drying (about an hour till you can handle them) I went and washed the car. Stuck them on and I think they look pretty sharp in that colour. You can see a bit of the lense from a side angle, but I didn't notice it until I actually looked at the photo. Once the blackout is on it should really finish the look.

They look very nice, I wonder how closley that paint matches the Silverhorse Honeycomb Tail Panel? I will have to paint mine and do a comparison.

I think the taillight bezels and the honeycomb panel really complete the tail of the Mustangs.

Great Job!!

I used a semi-gloss/matte finish black spray paint on my bezels and it's a pretty close match to the SHR panel

Thanks guys, the more I look at them the more I like it. What I figure the paint did too is make the pieces look a bit higher quality, I don't know the rest of you guys but I didn't realize the bezels were smoked plastic and was a bit disappointed when I got them. This fixed that right up though.

Just looking at other pictures, I'd say this is pretty close to the SHR colour. It's pretty close to the side view mirrors, just without the texture and maybe a little flatter.

So hearing about a potential issue with the magnetic blackout makes me now think about the SHR blackout. I'm not 100% fan of the honeycomb myself but the look is growing on me and it's obviously a quality made piece.

Hmm, I'll have to hear some more about this guy that had his magnetic one fall apart and think about what I'll do. I mean it doesn't get blazingly hot, typically 30^ c is about the hotest but it'd suck if the magnetic blackout destroyed the finish on the rear decklid from melting. Just sounds really odd.

I don't want to really muck this up any, but even though I didn't read the other thread about it destroying the paint, I have personally see this happen. In our case, my wife decided that it would be cool to put a "soccer mom" soccer ball on her Mustang... of course when I decided I had enough of lokking at it a few weeks later, it peeled the paint with it, even though it was magnetic. I didn't figure this was possible, and wouldn't have believed it, had I not seen it myself first-hand. Luckily, it was not bad, and on the OEM fuel door, so - voila - she got a SHR billet door for her 94 !

Of course, YMMV.

Well I painted mine with the Duplicolor Trim Black and I think they came out great. Thanks for the posts on this subject.
